JW ER Consulting is a boutique consultancy operated by me, Jay Wimalaratne and based in Sydney, Australia. JW ER Consulting aims to provide commercially relevant, practical and cost-effective advice to business on all matters related to managing Employee Relations. 


I have over 20 years of experience in the field of Employee Relations. These include working in national Employer Associations and heading up Employee Relations teams in large multinational corporations.

My Qualifications


My qualifications include:


  • Bachelor of Commerce (Honours 2nd class, Upper Division)-Double Major in Business Management and Human Resource Management. (University of New South Wales, Kensington, Sydney)
  • Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies(University of New England)
  • Masters of Labour Law and Relations (University of Sydney)
  • Advocacy in Industrial Tribunals, Fair Work Commission/University of Technology Sydney
  • Scotwork Negotiation Training
